Honestly, the membership cost makes it hard to settle into the game. The world has plenty to explore, but progression can feel like a long haul, and paying more on top of that takes some of the fun away. I still like the basic adventure, just not sure the value is there.
The recovery request turned into days of back-and-forth... I never got a useful update, which made the whole process feel far harder than it needed to be.

There's enough to do that I can always find another goal, and improving a character feels satisfying. Still, the menus take some getting used to, especially for a new player. Bugs in updates make me wary of fresh content, and membership feels pricey. I enjoy it, though it can be a lot to manage, and I wouldn't want to depend on account help if something went wrong.
Tried to recover an old account sadly i lost acces to the e-mail so i had no choice to to waste bunch of time with the support team of Jagex / Runescape. I explained my situation and what evidence i had some from previous recovery session and some evidence from RuneLite and overall just the basic of my account and some other accounts i had access to so they could easily cross check info and such what i expected to be a live chat session and maybe 5-10min work with a mod looking into my case become more than 3 days waiting and continuously conversations forth and back If one where to consider the person in support gets paid 20$ an hour the Jagex spend somewhere between 30-60$ for listen to my complains rather than just solve the issue so i can move on and they have one less problem to deal with but no they rather let this vet player sit waiting day after day no updates or responds on my case or the info added at all. just not acceptable not even close
Ign: Hades07, got perm banned for rwt while this is not true years of progress gone because a irl friend gave me 5m to upgrade my zulrah gear (that i had just unlocked and already did 55kc) truly horrible appeal system with no evidence nor answer to appeals, all you will get is a ai answer and years worth of progress gooing in thin air for a corrupt moneyhungry company that don’t care about their players! If someone would look 1 second at my weekly statistics and progress overall compared to what they’re accusing me of, they would be ashamed of what they’ve done!
This company is horrible. The mods are all absolutely useless and most of them are closet pedophiles. This game needs to be shut down immediately!
This game is absolutely horrible. I was banned for botting when I've never even used a bot let alone know how to. I have a heart condition that allows my heart to skip beats which could result in a bot like rhythm. It's pretty messed up how they exploit people's illnesses.
Jagex was once a decent company but that tome has passed. The game is fun but even after putting thousands of hours of playtime and 1000s of dollars of membership customer support will still go out of the way to not answer or take care of your problems no matter how obvious or easy they could. you will get a half assed reply maybe once every other day and in the end they will not help. They lie about microsoft and google when it comes to account recovery and honestly should be sued for that. They have turned into a very shady company over the years and the ones who made runescape are no longer there. Its unfortunate but do not make the mistake of putting time in because if you ever do run into an issue they will not help you.
Trash game dead content since sailing released, automatic support services, bad security system.. Just dead within a year
