Room to add on

The setup grew from a test server into several, and it was easy to choose options for what I needed at each stage. That flexibility is what stood out; when I did need technical guidance, the reply was genuinely useful. I didn't have to settle on one fixed configuration 🙂

Poor CPU Performance, Not Suitable for Game Servers

The price to performance ratio looks good at first, especially when you get one of their discounted offers.(Or at least the prices used to be good. This year, in 2026, I haven't really seen any discounts, just the regular list prices) . The VPS is provisioned very quickly and is ready to use almost immediately. For personal projects, testing, websites or smaller services, the VPS is perfectly fine. However, I would not recommend it for game servers, especially CS2. In my case, the VPS was running on an AMD EPYC 7443P, but the vCPU seemed to be limited to around 2 GHz. This became a serious bottleneck when running a CS2 server. The network connection and ping were stable, so the issue was not the network. The CPU was clearly the main problem. With around 10 players, I started noticing lag and CPU spikes. At around 20 players, the server became noticeably less playable. With 32 players, I experienced situations where the server would restart or completely shut down. I also contacted their support to explain the situation and asked if they could provide a more powerful CPU, even if I had to pay extra for it. I also asked whether they could move the VPS to a less restricted or better isolated CPU. Unfortunately, the first request was basically not possible because they only offer this type of CPU configuration. They did try moving the VPS to different CPU hosts a few times, but unfortunately I could not notice any real improvement. The performance remained practically the same, with the same CPU spikes and lag on the game servers. The support team itself was responsive and helpful, so I have no major complaints about their communication. The problem is mainly the CPU performance and the limitations of the available configuration. For basic applications, personal projects and testing, the VPS can be a decent option for the price. However, if you are planning to run a CS2 server or another CPU intensive game server, especially with a larger number of players, I would recommend looking for a VPS with better single core performance and less CPU limitation.

Very helpful technical service and reasonable prices

The company manager Christopher Sakel has been really helpful, outside business hours, to provide quickly an expert technical advice I needed for the routing of an additional IP address at OS level on my hosted server. I use the Prepaid-Host hosting service for several months now and they are a nice hosting company with reasonable prices, a good service and above all, a real technical expertise. Schlechte Erfahrung

Sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung mit Prepaid-Host. Ich habe vor etwa 20 Tagen einen Windows-VPS gekauft und konnte ihn insgesamt nur ungefähr zwei Stunden problemlos nutzen. Seit mehreren Tagen kann ich mich überhaupt nicht mehr per Remote Desktop einloggen – weder vom PC noch vom Handy. Der Server wird im Kundenbereich zwar als „ONLINE“ angezeigt, aber der RDP-Zugang funktioniert bei mir nicht. Ich habe verschiedene Geräte ausprobiert und auch der RDP-Port wurde bereits geändert. Trotzdem besteht das Problem weiterhin. Besonders enttäuschend ist für mich der technische Support. Teilweise wurde ein Problem zwar ein- oder zweimal behoben, aber anschließend trat das gleiche Problem wieder auf. Seit mehreren Tagen kann ich überhaupt nicht auf meinen VPS zugreifen, und ich habe nicht den Eindruck, dass mein Problem ausreichend ernst genommen wird. Für einen bezahlten VPS ist es für mich sehr enttäuschend, dass ich den Server während fast der gesamten Laufzeit nicht nutzen konnte. Ich kann daher aus meiner persönlichen Erfahrung diesen Service nicht weiterempfehlen und rate Interessenten, sich vor dem Kauf genau über die Zuverlässigkeit des RDP-Zugangs und den technischen Support zu informieren.

ready without fuss

really pleased with how quickly the server was ready. the panel was simple to understand, and the performance matched what i needed for a small project. the low cost makes it easy to keep running without feeling like i'm paying for extras i won't use right now.

Solider Hoster zu fairen Preisen

Ich hab mit einem Server zum Test angefangen und inzwischen auf 3 erweitert. Die Server sind immer sehr schnell einsatzfähig und bei mir gab es bislang auch noch keine Ausfälle oder Downtimes, zumindest ist mir hier nichts aufgefallen. Bei den Paketen gibts eigentlich immer was dabei, was für den gerade benötigten Anwendungsfall benötigt wird oder man klickt sich schnell selbst was zusammen. Sollte man doch irgendwie mal eine Frage haben, so antwortet der Support recht schnell.
