Paradox Interactive has completely destroyed its reputation by becoming the embodiment of corporate greed and anti-consumer practices. They no longer create finished video games; instead, they sell bare-bones, stripped-down frameworks masquerading as full products for $40–$50, only to force players to buy dozens of overpriced, essential DLCs just to make the game functional. To experience the actual, intended version of a Paradox title, you are routinely expected to fork over hundreds of dollars. This predatory monetization model is nothing short of extortion. Furthermore, their development standards have entirely rotted. Almost every single game or expansion they release launches in a broken, unoptimized, and crash-prone state. They completely rely on their dedicated modding community to fix their broken simulations and terrible AI logic, while their corporate executives rush developers to meet deadlines just to kickstart the next monetization cycle. They completely ignore player feedback on their official forums, treat their loyal community like walking wallets, and abandon projects entirely if they don’t instantly print money. Paradox Interactive is a toxic, predatory publisher that has lost its soul. Do not give this company a single cent.

The add-ons add up

Honestly, it's frustrating when a game that already costs full price keeps holding interesting parts back for separate expansions. I like the depth these strategy games can offer, but trying to get the fuller experience means facing a long list of add-ons. That makes it hard to feel good about buying in.

Das Grundkonzept eurer Spiele ist echt…

Das Grundkonzept eurer Spiele ist echt gut, aber in der Ausführung mangelt es in meinen Augen massiv. Das in meinen Augen durchfallhafte Spamen von DLC bei Spielen finde ich allgemein nicht gut, besonders wenn Spiele schon mehrere Jahre auf den Buckel haben. Zusätzlich haben eure Spiele scheinbar sehr viele Bugs, teilweise sind diese massiv spieleinschränkend. Trotz eurer DLC und der Tatsache, dass ihr an Spielen viele Jahre arbeitet, werden diese oftmals nicht behoben und ich bin auch schon bei Recherchen darauf gestoßen, dass euch der eine oder andere ungelöste Bug bekannt sein und seine Behebung gar nicht so schwer sein sollte (zumindest schaffen es einige Mods). Und dann kommt noch dazu, dass ihr mit euren DLC sogar neue Bugs einbringt. Viele Bugs, scheinbar eine geringe Neigung, diese zu beheben und dann neue dazu bringen, diese Kombination ist nicht gut. Allgemein scheint ihr zu Versprechen etwas zu beheben und anschließend empfinde ich es sogar noch schlimmer. Bei der KI versprecht ihr gerne Verbesserungen, ok, ihr macht sie zumindest anders. Tipp: Schwerer oder leichter, ist nicht zwingend besser, eventuell hilft euch das in dem Punkt weiter, wenn ihr darüber nachdenkt. Ich finde es schade, wenn etwas sehr großes Potential hätte und dieses absolut nicht genutzt wird und ich habe sogar das Gefühl, als wäre das mit Absicht.
