A good browse
The shop made it easy to spot a few appealing games, and I liked seeing good discounts without having to dig around.

Across 52 reviews, most reviewers were satisfied overall, though a notable minority reported serious problems. Many appreciate DRM-free purchases and the ability to keep games, including older titles that reviewers say have been made playable on modern systems. Customers frequently praise support for patient, detailed troubleshooting, and several report that staff helped resolve game or account issues. Some also like the sales and the option to bring games from different platforms together in one library....
However, some customers report games that would not install, launch, or run reliably, including older titles and games on newer systems. A few describe trouble with the launcher, website, or account verification, and some say contacting support was difficult. Other reviewers report successful troubleshooting, but they also describe fixes that sometimes took repeated exchanges or longer waits.

Found a few older games I’d been meaning to revisit, and getting them running on my current setup was a nice surprise. The sale prices helped too.
I'm very impressed with this company and what they are doing for the gaming community, I've realised that we have all become too comfortable renting our games, as good as steam is there's no guarantee this service will continue after Gabe is gone, and ultimately you still don't own the game. I've just purchased my first game on gog and I'm very happy with how it went, I downloaded the offline installer and backed my game up to an external SSD, the game installed perfectly and works offline. If feels great knowing that I actually own the game and can do whatever I want with the files. Their library isn't as large as steam, but I'll continue to support them with purchasing anything I can on this platform.
I've bought a game, payed TWICE for it, and EVEN SO the game didn't arrive, i asked support almost 24h ago, and still no responses, the support team not even seems to exist. I'm just terrible disappoited and do not recommend GOG for brazilians, they appear to have several problems with PIX authentication. I went to the community discord and they told me to use PayPal, but we guys know that if we are going to buy a game, it's using PIX, so i hope that experience prevents u guys from getting stressed like i did
Having my games from different places show up together has made browsing my collection much less scattered... I also like that the purchases aren't locked behind the usual DRM. It feels like a more personal way to keep a PC library, especially with older titles in the mix.
GOG.com is more necessary than ever. In a time when Sony is moving PlayStation away from physical discs and has already removed hundreds of purchased movies and TV shows from users’ libraries due to licensing changes, GOG’s DRM-free approach feels less like a nice extra and more like essential consumer protection. What makes GOG different is simple: when you buy a game, you can download an offline installer and keep it yourself. Even if a title is later removed from the storefront, it stays in your library and remains playable from your own backup—no constant permission from a launcher, account system, or online server required. That matters because “buying” digital games should not mean renting indefinite access. Sony’s decision to end physical disc production for new PlayStation games from January 2028 makes the risk even clearer: if everything is digital and controlled by one platform, players have very little leverage when licenses expire or policies change. GOG also deserves credit for preserving older and classic games, offering extras such as soundtracks and manuals, and treating game preservation as part of its identity—not just a marketing slogan. The store is clean, prices are often fair, and the offline installers make it easy to archive purchases on an external drive, NAS, or even disc. Of course, GOG is not perfect: its catalog is smaller than Steam’s, and some multiplayer titles still rely on external services. But for single-player games and long-term ownership, it is easily one of the most trustworthy places to buy PC games. If you care about actually keeping the games you pay for, supporting preservation, and avoiding a future where access can disappear with a licensing decision, GOG is the store digital gaming needs. Highly recommended.
Ottima esperienza veloce.
Buying a game without feeling tied to a login is the appeal for me; it feels like the purchase stays mine.
