Looking at 51 reviews, opinions about the overall experience are mixed, with more low than high ratings. Many reviewers who describe positive experiences value the community for meeting friends and sharing creative work. Creators highlight opportunities to share games, art, and other projects with people who share their interests. Some also appreciate the platform for finding indie games and its creator-focused features....
However, many reviewers criticize inconsistent moderation, including reports of harmful content remaining visible and users being banned unfairly. Some describe support as slow or unresponsive. Other recurring complaints concern a shift away from indie game discovery toward social and creator content, along with monetization decisions; a few also mention outages or technical problems.

For sharing little projects, it’s a welcoming corner. The creator side feels more personal than most platforms I’ve tried, and it’s nice when people take an interest in what I make. I don’t feel like every post has to be perfectly polished before it’s worth putting out there.
Really enjoyable space for finding indie games and meeting creative people. The community feels welcoming, and sharing projects has been genuinely fun.
gamejolt is a fun site ignoring alot of the problems, i've met an amazing friend on there, it's not perfect, all social media platforms have flaws
A great place to share stuff and meet people who share your interests, recommended for artists, devs and geeks!
Game Jolt has been the best platform I have ever experienced as a person and a creator. I highly recommend joining it. The community is great.
Bad website, full of dramas. Twitter's twin? 🤔🤔🤔
I got hacked in FNAF Ultimate Custom Night. Be careful what you install.
When I first joined the site back in 2015/2016, it was all about indie games, which is the reason Game Jolt was very loved and known. It was very nice to get your games in there, recognition and etc. But as years went by, Game Jolt started focusing more on content creators rather than games, and the site's name is GAME Jolt. I understand the approach, but the focus shifted to them way too much. This site is now not the best for releasing indie games, and the moderators cannot take opinions that differ from theirs, especially the creator of the website, known as CROS. It was a good site but it got ruined a lot by the mods/creator and the social media thing.
really want it's the only thing is that a lot of the time and time got while or at least it will again not only did you see what you need every
i saw an review of one star and i accidently wrote this review oops?
