Looking at 51 reviews, the overall picture is overwhelmingly negative, with nearly all reviewers rating their experience poorly. A few reviewers said the games were enjoyable at first or praised aspects such as the graphics, but these positive comments were uncommon....
Reviewers repeatedly describe customer support as slow or unresponsive, with generic replies that often fail to resolve problems. Many also criticize pressure to spend for competitive progress, alongside reports of bugs, missing or inaccessible game content, and account access problems. Some reviewers describe disputed charges, missing purchase items, or difficulty obtaining refunds.

My experience with FunPlus through Aniimo has left me extremely disappointed, particularly with the company’s approach to monetization. I’ve invested a significant amount of both time and money into Aniimo, and the longer I play, the more apparent it becomes that monetization takes priority over player satisfaction. In my opinion, FunPlus demonstrates very little respect for its players, their time, or their finances. Instead, its monetization systems appear designed to maximize spending by exploiting fear of missing out (FOMO), encouraging impulsive purchases, and pressure to spend money by adding yet another way to spend money on yet another system. What makes this particularly concerning is how these systems can negatively affect vulnerable individuals, especially those who struggle with addiction, compulsive spending, or impulse control. Randomized rewards, limited-time offers, and expensive gacha mechanics can encourage unhealthy spending habits, and I find it incredibly irresponsible to implement such aggressive monetization in a game that is also marketed toward younger audiences, including children. These monetization practices are unethical, anti-consumer, and fundamentally disrespectful to the player base. The game has enormous potential, but that potential is being undermined by overpriced premium currencies, outrageously expensive cosmetics, gacha mechanics, and progression that feel deliberately restrictive. Rather than creating an enjoyable and rewarding experience, these mechanics increasingly make the game feel like it is designed to frustrate players into spending money. There is a difference between fairly monetizing a free-to-play game and implementing systems that capitalize on psychological vulnerabilities. Unfortunately, based on my experience, FunPlus appears far more interested in the latter. And don’t even get me started on the whales and those who continuously defend this nonsense. Just because someone can afford to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars in a month or less on pixels doesn’t make these practices acceptable. Defending exploitative monetization only enables these trash companies to push the boundaries further, normalizing increasingly aggressive systems at the expense of consumers. Can Aniimo be played entirely free-to-play? Absolutely, but that doesn’t make its monetization fair or ethical. I have a secondary account above Level 50 that’s 100% F2P, and the comparison is laughable, even the paid account feels insufficient with the constant resource shortages, progression bottlenecks, and FOMO for F2P. If spending still leaves me frustrated, I can only imagine how F2P players feel, especially those who cannot afford the countless things FunPlus monetizes. Everything may be optional, but that doesn’t make these practices any less anti-consumer.
The ads put me off before I tried the game; the footage looked unlike the actual gameplay, and seeing the same promotions everywhere got old.
Toxic ad campaigns for all the games they advertise for. Heavy use of AI and fake game content. All forms of discrimination are seen in these crap ads.
i enjoyed the game at first, but spending quickly felt necessary to keep up. When problems appeared, support sent generic replies and did not resolve them, so I stopped investing my time or money.
Please see my latest request to FunPlus AG. customer services; Subject: URGENT: Payment Block Escalation - Account Marked "High Security Risk" - Player ID: xxxxxxxx/State Number xxxx ; Hello,Your previous reply was a generic template that failed to address the specific evidence I provided.I have explicitly verified with Barclays Bank that my card is fully active, registered to my name, and authorized for all online and cross-border transactions. Furthermore, I regularly use this card via Google Pay and Apple Pay, which I have used successfully for all in-game purchases over the last three years. This is not a bank restriction. Your automated fraud-prevention/billing system is incorrectly flagging a legitimate, verified customer as a "high security risk."Because your internal system block has prevented me from making legitimate purchases today, I have suffered a direct loss of time-limited in-game event resources and ranking progress.I am requesting an immediate escalation of this ticket to a Tier 2 Supervisor, Billing Manager, or Risk & Compliance Specialist. Please do not issue another automated response. Please provide explicit confirmation on the following four points:That this case has been formally escalated to a senior support team or billing specialist. The exact operational reason why my account was falsely flagged as a "high security risk."The specific steps your team is taking to whitelist my account and prevent this from recurring. The timeline and details of the goodwill compensation that will be provided to credit my account for the time-limited rewards and progress lost due to this system malfunction.I expect a personalized response from an actual specialist within 24 hours.Regards,
