Already well used

The finished play frame has been a hit with the children, who keep finding reasons to climb and play outside. It feels solid, and putting it together was less daunting than expected once we followed the instructions. A lovely addition to the garden, and it has already earned plenty of use.

Great climbing frame

The Ghostflyer climbing frame is great value for money. The ordering process is really straightforward. I found the email updates about delivery really useful. The instructions are clear to follow. The videos on how to cement in the posts etc are really helpful. This all made the assembly straightforward. I did contact customer service, and the team were quick to reply and helpful and curteous. I really would recommend Wickey for anyone wanting a climbing frame for their children.

Very difficult to build

The wait time was extremely long, once the pirate ship wooden play equipment arrived, we were not prepared to have to measure and drill every screw and bolt. Even the flag and trims you have to cut out yourself! The instructions were very confusing, the app did not help. You need to be very strong and a qualified carpenter to build this equipment! The quality of the product is very good. However, I feel it needs to be much more build friendly - pre drilled screw and bolt holes/labelling on fixings and equipment to speed up building. We wouldn't purchase from Wickey again due to this, which is disappointing as the quality is so good.😥

Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money. I have a large castle themed climbing frame and have been back and forward with Wickey since July. First it was key pieces missing and then the major issue was the canvases they have sent are incorrect. Spent almost £1700 on this and it is incomplete. I would search online for a better provider of children’s climbing frames!

UPDATE

UPDATE – 8 September 2026 Unfortunately, the situation has still not been resolved. After my original complaint, Wickey eventually confirmed in writing that they were arranging for the damaged goods to be collected and that my £220 refund would be processed once the goods were received at their warehouse. They then asked me to provide dates when I would be available for collection. I immediately provided several dates, including Monday 7 September, Friday 11 September and Saturday 12 September. I then heard nothing. I had to contact them again to ask why there was still no confirmation of the collection. What I genuinely cannot understand is why something that should be relatively straightforward has become such a drawn-out process. I have a damaged and incomplete product that I have never used. I have clearly requested a refund. Wickey has now agreed to collect the goods and refund me. I have provided the dates they asked for. Yet I am still having to chase them. I have now formally escalated my concerns and am contacting Trading Standards and Citizens Advice regarding the handling of this matter. I am also keeping all correspondence and evidence relating to the order. At this point, I simply want Wickey to arrange the collection as promised and return the £220 I paid. I honestly find the level of delay and lack of communication extremely disappointing. I have never experienced such difficulty trying to return a damaged and incomplete product and obtain a refund. I will update this review again once this matter is finally resolved.

Awful to assemble

No pieces of wood had any number or label on, no pre drilled holes, awful instructions. Was an absolute nightmare to put together. Had to literally measure each piece of wood.

Needs more quality control

It arrived a week later then advertised. During assembly I found the wood to be of poor quality. The large posts had multiple cracks in and the planes of wood were poorly cut and warped/ curved. A lot crack when fixing flat. Plenty of splintered edges too which could be quite dangerous for kids
