A place to meet players

The community side is what caught my attention. Their Discord seems active, and I like that the people behind the shop also make space for gamers to meet up and play. It gives the hobby a social feel beyond finding a title and having it delivered. I haven't joined every conversation, but seeing an active channel and gaming events makes it easier to feel part of something, especially with a specialist interest. That human connection is the bit I remember; it doesn't feel like just another place to buy a box.

Advice that helped

The advice side of it. I had a question about choosing a game and got a useful, informed reply without any fuss. That mattered more than a polished sales pitch; it felt like talking to people who actually know the hobby and can point you in the right direction. My order experience was straightforward too, but it was the helpful response that stuck with me. For specialist games, being able to ask someone who understands the subject makes the whole search less daunting, especially when you're not sure where to start.

Wonderful Wargame Retailer

I've placed several orders with Second Chance Games over the past three months, and every experience has been excellent. Their customer service is outstanding, delivery is fast, and the range of games they offer is top-notch. Each time I’ve ordered before their shipping cut-off time, my package has arrived the next day and always securely packaged. For me, they’ve become my go-to supplier for hex-and-counter wargames, especially from the more niche publishers in the hobby. Thank you so much!

Fantastic

I've used Second Chance Games a few times now. They have a great range of games, many impossible to get in the UK and the delivery time is outstanding. Will use again and again as money allows!

Speedy delivery

Ordered a game early Wednesday morning and it was in my excited paws just over 24 hours later. And that's using Royal Mail! Much appreciated.

A terrific friendly and helpful team

A terrific friendly and helpful team of guys in this family run and quite niche board gaming business. Their Discord channel is active most days and they run a couple of wargaming cons each year in Liverpool (SCGCon) and Coventry (PunchedCon). Their website is about to be given an overhaul, with some of the work already implemented to allow finding games by Manufacturer and game series. Just don't get dragged into a game of Star Wars at one of the gaming cons until 1am with Andy and let him cast you as Darth Vader!

What's not to love

What's not to love? Comprehensive stock, rapid turnaround, well packaged games and an informative Facebook site. Enquiries are always dealt with promptly and the team are very helpful. I have been buying games from SCG for five years with no issues at all. Keep up the good work!

My first time purchasing from SCG. A+++

My first time purchasing from SCG. I ordered two games, both of which were extremely hard to get hold of anywhere else (particularly in the UK). In spite of placing my order on a Bank Holiday weekend, the items were packed and shipped with truly amazing speed - excellently packaged, too, I might add. I can't think of any praise I can give this company that would be too high. They are just THAT good. One thing's for sure: I certainly won't hesitate for a microsecond placing further orders with SCG in the future. Thanks, guys! You deserve the credit.

Fantastic service

Visited shop for first time today. Massive range of games, friendly helpful staff, got items required from stock, in this case counter trays, at an excellent price. Highly recommended.
