Too much grind

Too much grind... Unlocking ships feels like a slow slog, and the stream of paid extras makes the free-to-play label feel thin.

Submarine balancing feedback and concerns

Lovely ships, rough fights

Lovely ship designs. The battles feel exhausting now, and even co-op against bots can be a slog. Hard to enjoy the naval setting.

Wargaming is a money making scam, which exploits people with the dopamine rush addiction.

Wargaming exploits people with a dopamine addiction Their scheme is pretty basic. I'll explain how it works. So, there are 3 types of players\users First type are the "just for fun" players Second type are "skilled but play for free" players And the Third type are "the account flippers" and "whales" Wargaming is making money from all three types of players, but it prioritizes the Third Type(the account flippers+whales) to have an advantage because these players spend a lot of money, at least 300USD per month, so that they could "build" a high stats(high winrate) account with a lot of Premium ships and then sell it online for around 3-4k USD to people who want to have "pretty stats". There's quite a significant market for such accounts. Wargaming has a "shady" paid cheat mods(aim dot) which allow the Third Type of players(the account flippers) to easily achieve high(unicum) average damage. So, let's say they have about 500 account flippers on any server. Each spends at least 300USD per month. Then when these account flippers sell their unicum accounts to "whale" players who simply want to have nice stats. These players to "maintain" their high unicum winrate will have to spend at least 300USD per month too. There are about 5000 unicum players on any server. So now it's 150k USD per month per server. There are 3 servers Asia, US and EU, that makes it around 500k per month total or around 6 mil USD per year in the low estimates. The real number is around 10 mil USD per year from "whales" and account flippers. To maintain the interest of the paying unicum players, Wargaming has to prevent all other players from achiving high winrate, because it would make "paying" for the game redundant. If "skilled but free to play" players could simply become unicum, then obviously the account flippers wouldn't be able to flip the accounts at such high prices because "unicum" status would be redundant and easily achivable by anyone with moderate skills. Wargaming will ruin your gameplay if you are skilled but free to play, by doing three things 1)It will rig your RNG on your salvos where if you begin to do good damage on unicum level, then you will notice how your damage in the subsequent matches drops significantly. You would be shooting the same ships, at the same spots, at the same distance, but you won't be getting good damage. This will obviously affect the outcome of your match, ending up in more losses than wins. 2)It will place you in teams with "bots" or bad players. No way around it. If you are not paying, then your winrate will never remain above 60%. 60%+ winrate is reserved only for paying players. No way around it. Even if you are very good at operating some ship, even if you get first 30-50 games with winrate above 65%, then you will see your ship being placed in teams with "bots" or bad players and you will end up having 56-58% stats at best. So basically even if you are good at playing this game, if you don't pay, Wargaming will keep your winrate bellow 60% and your average damage will be "blue" or even "green". No way around it. 3)Wargaming uses bots which mask themselves as real players, even as good ones. A player may be even online at the moment, while an AI bot will use his name as a "mask" to participate in other matches. These bots will appears with high winrate stats, but will play poorly. You will notice on many occasions that players with good stats on your team simply YOLO. This is not the behavior of a good player, but it happens very often. That is because it's AI using a good player's name as a mask. The loss for that match will not be reflected on actual player's winrate. Wargaming does this to confuse people and make it appear as if losses happen even with "best teams". More than often you will get a "green\blue" team, playing against red\yellow, but then somehow the bad team will absolutely obliterate your team. Bad players with 40-60k average damage all of a sudden defeat players with 90-110k average damage. Wargaming is doing this to create an illusion for skilled but free to play players as though you may win when you are matched against a strong team. Of course in practice this almost never happens to you, even though it may happen maybe once every 300-400 games. But what it's noticeable is that the losses of the good team you are on will happen quite often. Maybe once every 10-20 games. ----- You have to understand that World of Warships is a money making scheme. It's a game technically, since it involves "playing" but in reality it's purely a money making scheme, used to "milk" whales and exploit people's craving for "dopamine rush". Doing big damage can become extremely addictive. Wargaming uses AI bots which play differently from "official" bots who simply YOLO. The bots for high tier random battles will emulate "intellect".

Unbalanced and frustrating

I find the battles far too one-sided, with poor matchmaking and frequent blowouts. Progress also feels excessively monetized, which makes the experience frustrating rather than enjoyable for me.

world of warpigs

Daher, Coop-Matches. Mensch gegen Bots, das ist noch spielbar.
