Looking at 51 reviews, most reviewers were very happy with the overall experience. Many enjoy the trails as an activity with family or friends, combining a walk with clues to solve. Reviewers often say the routes reveal places they might otherwise miss and share interesting local history. Some also praise the value, straightforward guides and options for printed or phone-based trails....
However, some reviewers report missing or worn clues, and a few found particular trails dull or difficult to follow. Individual reviewers also wished for harder, less child-oriented clues or said they missed features removed from the experience.

the trail made a town i thought i knew feel full of little surprises. i enjoyed noticing corners and bits of history i'd usually walk past, and the clues gave the outing a nice sense of purpose. it was a relaxed way to spend a morning, with enough to think about without taking over the day.
the clues had just enough bite to keep us thinking, without turning the walk into a slog. we needed the answer reveal a couple of times, and that made it easier to keep enjoying the route rather than getting stuck. i liked having a reason to pay closer attention as we went.
Clear map and instructions - just challenging enough to keep us interested. Allow plenty of time for tea breaks and snacks and have fun!
The Romsey trail was great. Kept us engrossed. Will buy more.
A proper paper booklet, with the route laid out clearly, suited us better than staring at a screen. I liked that accessible trails can be picked when choosing one, and the clues kept us moving without making the outing feel like a test. Just a thoughtful way to make a walk work for different needs.
We started locally and then went further afield. The clues are just right - hard enough to be taxing, but mostly can be solved. We had to use the reveal the answer a couple of times as we didn't get the clue, but that was fine.
The clues gave our walk a bit of purpose, and I liked picking up bits of local history along the way... a nice change from just wandering.
I have been enjoying Treasure Trails' unique adventures throughout England & Wales since 2010, when I first met one of the friendly trail writers! Having completed over 110 of them now, I love that the team has never rested on its laurels and continues to enhance the experiences both on the website/app and the actual exploration of our wonderful villages, towns & cities. I've been amazed to discover new things in places I know well, and delighted to learn about places I'd never been to. I've shared them with friends & family both young and old, they've even been a good talking point at job interviews from the 'other interests' section of my CV!
What a great concept and so well executed
We have had several treasure trails we like to purchase one while on holiday. We like to have it sent in the post we like having it as an actual trail but you can have it sent to your phone. They are very easy to follow and if you get stuck you have the option to use a cose to get some help we did not need this for last one we got. The we when you order is easier and they have lots of choice we always filter to accessible trail and we take someone on trail who wheel chair user. They are good fun and get you seeing bits of the towns places you may never see good fun for all ages the always take us longer than say as we call in shops cafe along the route
