Looking at 50 reviews, most reviewers were dissatisfied with the overall experience. A few reviewers value the archive’s broad range of MUGEN characters and stages, including collections they say are hard to find elsewhere. Some also praise specific character collections....
Reviewers frequently complain about IP or account bans they consider unexplained, and describe moderation as arbitrary or unreceptive to criticism. Many also report frustrating download restrictions, including limits tied to account status, activity, or weekends, and some object to paid access or registration requirements. A few mention difficult registration, a messy archive, or trouble contacting support.

A forum comment can apparently be enough to lose access, which made me wary of saying anything at all. The download limits for newer members add another hurdle, so browsing casually feels more complicated than it should. I was there for the game files, not to second-guess whether normal use might get my account blocked.
Download limits for newer members, and not much room to browse casually.
Run by pathetic manchildren.
ip banned me probably because i made a criticism of the website on the forums one time
Their website is the worst piece of crap I've ever seen.
They want you to pay for registration (as stated on their contact support, where the email for it never goes through). The lowest one-time payment is "$10 for 30 days" (whatever that means). If you think that's ridiculous, they also have a one-time fee of "$49.99 for 100 years"
limitations of downloading for new members not fair at all
The only thing i did is donwload characters, and suddenly i got IP banned just because i use VPN, i literally say nothing, did nothing, the only thing i did is stay silent and donwload, and still got banned. The moderation is a joke, full of childish people. Awful 0/10
Now I'm not a MUGEN veteran but holy this website has to be made from Satan himself. Like the ranks for example, if you are a new challenger or above good for you. If you're a Lurker be prepared for the most annoying experience in your life because if you decide to download something on the weekends you cant. because these demons called "mods" think that everyone has enough time to do a stupid forum or upload a bunch of files. The mods make the site like North Korea because even if you say you just wanna stay silent and upload you get banned.
Both Mugen Archive and MFFA are terrible, but Mugen Archive is a bit worst.
