A set that gets played

Really pleased with this folding chess set. It feels sturdy, looks smart, and makes it easy to work through games from a book before sitting down to play with other people. Younger players enjoyed it too, so it feels like something to share rather than leave on a shelf.

I am very impressed with the 11 inch folding chess set that was under £40 including Fedex shipping with offers. It is attractive and sturdily made and as a newish player allows me to go through games from books as well as offer friendly games to people. It got its first outing at my church youth group and a lot of the kids loved playing me on it and the adults have commented on what an attractive little set it is. Delivery was prompt and it was nicely packed with a bow by Darcy: thank you Darcy. I’d never heard of Jaques before but I read they invented the Staunton set. I’ll be buying again from them as i fancy taking up Backgammon as well!

I had problems with the delivery of two orders, Jacques responded promptly to both events, it was not their fault. They packaged the third delivery very securely and used a better delivery service.
