ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY - SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE
After months of playing Lordrush, spending a significant amount of money, and building one of the top 25 accounts in the entire game, I am walking away because of the way Century Games treats its paying customers.
This week, Century Games ran an event that explicitly stated that rewards/points would be earned for upgrading “Gear and Charms.” Based on the language THEY published, I used valuable resources to upgrade my Lord Gear.
I received no points.
I contacted support, assuming this was an obvious mistake that would be corrected. Instead, I was essentially told too bad—the event supposedly applied “only to charms.”
There is one enormous problem with that response: their own event description clearly said “Gear and Charms.”
I copied their own wording and provided it directly to support. It didn't matter. Rather than acknowledge that their published instructions were misleading or incorrect, Century Games simply refused to make it right.
I wasn't even asking for some huge cash refund or special treatment. At a minimum, they could have returned the materials I spent based on THEIR OWN WRITTEN EVENT DESCRIPTION so I could use them during another portion of the event.
They refused.
Think about that before spending money on this game.
I have spent months building one of the strongest accounts in Lordrush. I have invested a substantial amount of money in their product. Yet when Century Games published misleading event instructions that caused me to waste valuable resources, their response was effectively: that's your problem.
That tells me everything I need to know about how this company views its customers.
Games like Lordrush are built around long-term progression and encourage players to spend real money acquiring resources. If a company expects players to make that kind of investment, the absolute minimum it owes them is accurate event descriptions and accountability when the company's own published information is wrong.
Century Games failed that very basic standard.
I'm not leaving because I lost a battle, missed a reward, or didn't get my way. I'm leaving because I no longer trust the company operating the game.
If Century Games is willing to lose a highly invested, top-25 player rather than correct a problem created by its own published wording, prospective players should understand exactly what kind of customer service they can expect.
Spend accordingly. Proceed at your own risk.
Respectfully,
Hawkeye
